Resolution 2006-07 Auditor Depositary

RESOLUTION NUMBER: 2006-7

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE DISTRICT’S AUDITOR AND DEPOSITARY

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SUNNY MEADOWS MISSOULA COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT:

WHEREAS, the District was incorporated as a water and sewer district under the provisions of Title 7,
Chapter 13, parts 22 and 23 M.C.A.; and
 
WHEREAS, pursuant to 7-13-2277 (1) M.C.A, the board of directors is required to name an auditor as
soon as practicable, and none of the directors or their relatives may hold the office of auditor; and
 
WHEREAS, the auditor for the District is charged with the duty of installing and maintaining a system
of auditing and accounting that shall completely and at all times show the financial condition of the
district, as well as drawing warrants to pay demands once such demands have been first approved by
the majority of the board of directors of the District; and
 
WHEREAS, in order to receive state funding in the form of grants or loans, it will be necessary for
such a system of accounting and auditing to be in use by the District; and
 
WHEREAS, Missoula County employs an Auditor, who is responsible for operating and maintaining
an appropriate system of auditing and accounting for the County; and
 
WHEREAS, Missoula County has requested that the District use the County’s auditing and accounting
system; and
 
WHEREAS, in order to use the Missoula County Auditor, the District must name Missoula County as
its depositary pursuant to 7-13-2311 M.C.A.
 
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the District names the Missoula County Auditor as the
District’s Auditor pursuant to 7-13-2277 and 2278, and that it names Missoula County as its depositary
pursuant to 7-13-2311 M.C.A.
