Meeting Minutes
January 26th, 2023 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department
Roll Call: Cyndie Winchell, Dusty Deschamps, Michael Bushey, Paula Niccum
Approval of Minutes: Dusty made a motion to approve the minutes as posted on the website, Michael seconded, the motion passed and minutes approved.
Financial Information: Financial report will be given in February.
Public Input: None.
Old Business:
System upgrade project update-
One of the additional suggested improvements to the system is to install another hydrant on the hill at the top of Edgewood drive. The board determined the water lines which serve the Bushey house are too small to supply adequate water to a hydrant. Alternatives to enable the installation of another hydrant will be considered after the the primary system improvements are completed.
The meters have been ordered but have not arrived yet.
The drilling contractors are still waiting for a weather window.

New Business: Application for a new insurance carrier:
The state is no longer providing an insurance program for small water districts (MAACO). Cyndie is researching options with Payne West. We have until June to find a new carrier.
Both Andy and Julissa are invited to attend our next meeting for a mid year system assessment. Contracts will be reviewed at the meeting.
Sewer lot issue: Omnisite disconnected service to the alarm on the septic pump building after Verizon wouldn’t support 3g alarm units. Cyndie and Gary removed the unit and have sent it in to be upgraded and returned, which is much less expensive than replacing the unit.
Resolution for ARPA draw #5
A motion was made, seconded and approved to pay Great West Engineering for the last invoices received.
