A RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF SENSUS WATER METER SYSTEM..
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District:
WHEREAS, the District was incorporated as a water and sewer district under the provisions of Title 7, Chapter 13, parts 22 and 23 M.C.A; and
WHEREAS, the District is responsible for the maintenance and replacement of its property as deemed necessary and is tasked with assuring the District has up to date equipment; and
WHEREAS, most of the Districts meters have exceeded their warranty by several years and the District has the opportunity to replace our current meter system using acquired ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the District must follow the necessary procedures set forth by the DNRC and ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) to proceed with the purchase and payment of the purchase; and
WHEREAS, the District has received bids for the meter system replacement and found these bids to be reasonable and replacement necessary and prudent; and
WHEREAS, the amount for the purchase of the Sensus meter system bid is $30,217.34 (thirty thousand two hundred seventeen dollars and thirty four cents)
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the District authorizes the purchase of the Sensus water meter replacement system. The District also authorizes any licensing or lease agreements necessary to operate the new Sensus equipment.
