A resolution approving A program to repurchase upgraded meters from the homeowners of the district
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF directors of the sunny meadows Missoula county water and sewer district:
WHEREAS, the District has embarked on an upgrade project to resolve ongoing issues with its water system; and
WHEREAS, the District has been awarded grant funding from two state agencies; and
WHEREAS, in order to be eligible for the DNRC/RRGL grant, the District must ensure all meters on the system are upgraded to meet new District standards; and
WHEREAS, the project includes funds to replace approximately 22 old meters; and
WHEREAS, the District board feels that in the interest of fairness and practicality in the future, all meters should be owned by the District.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the District approves a plan offering to purchase all new meters from the homeowners by offering them a credit, as explained in the attached letter to the homeowners.
