Meeting Minutes

February 23rd, 2023 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department

Roll Call:  Cyndie Winchell,Michael Bushey, Dusty Deschamps, Paula Niccum, Meggan Quigley

Approval of Minutes:  Dusty made a motion to approve the minutes as posted in the site, Michael seconded, motion carried and minutes were approved.

Financial Information:  Meggan read the financial reports for December and January.  Dusty made a motion to approve the financials and Paula seconded, the motion carried and financial reports were approved.

Julissa came to the meeting to touch base with the board about bookkeeping and finances for the district as well as finances for the system upgrade project.  

Public Input: None.

Old Business:  System upgrade project:

Ryan from Great West Engineering is asking Trenchless Solutuins to solicit bids for fencing the well house lot.  He is also researching alternatives for back up power for the upgrade.  

New Business:  The meters are scheduled to arrive the beginning of March.  Mickelson Plumbing will be installing the.  The first meter installations should be happening the week of March 13.  The first installations will be done on some of the board member’s homes.  The radios that will allow the meters to be read remotely will arrive a little later.  They will snap over the existing buttons for the current meters that are in the outside of the houses.  

The Sensus meter representative will be meeting with Cyndie, Paula, Michael and Julissa to discuss the software and operating of the system.  

The board has been asked if there are other projects that can be rolled into the system improvements since our project came in under budget .  The board has started a list which includes fencing the well house lot, back up power for the system pumps, inspecting and repairing any existing issues with the septic tanks at the drain field lots and opening up the collapsed drain line out of the vault at the booster station on the hill.

The board discussed establishing an account with an sms repeater service so that every member of the system will receive a text when there are issues affecting the system users regarding their water system.
