Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District

Meeting Minutes

November 6th, 2019 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department

Roll Call:  Board members Cyndie, Dusty, Paula, Barb, Meggan.  System members Doug Byrne, Michael Bushey and Diana Fuentes attended.

Approval of Minutes:  A motion to approve the minutes posted on the website for review was made by Dusty, seconded by Cyndie, motion carried, minutes approved.

Financial Information:  Still no financial information to close fiscal year 2019 received from the county.   Barb ran her won report for the last 4 months and it was read at the meeting.  The board will review and approve the official county financials when they are received.  

Public Input: None.

Old Business:

  • …Mickelson plumbing will need to come out and correct wiring on meters they installed.  They did not have access to the readers when they installed the meters.  Barb will coordinate to get the reader to them when they come back.
  • System repairs- Repairs to the storage tank are completed.  Repairs to the vault yet to be completed, those would be improving the drainage and caulking the lid.
  • Paula purchased 3 file cabinets from campus surplus for document storage in the shed on the well lot.  Meggan and Jacob Quigley helped with picking them ip at U of M and moving them into the shed.  The board  plans to move the records that have been stored in the storage tank pump house to the shed soon so they can be filed.  Tentatively planned for Saturday Nov 9.
  • The board will be changing the monthly meeting time to the second Tuesday of the month at 6 pm.  This will eliminate conflict with meetings falling on holidays such as Independence Day and New Years Day.  The system members will be notified by mail and the new meeting time will begin in January 2020.

New Business:

  • …Board member resolution:  A motion was made to approve board member compensation of $30.00 per meeting attended.  Dusty mad the motion for compensation, Cymdie seconded, motion carried, compensation approved.
  • …Dusty made a motion to give a donation of $350.00 to the East Missoula Fire Department in appreciation for the use of their space for meetings in their location, for both 12 regular and occasional extra meetings.  Paula seconded, motion carried and donation approved.

Adjournment:  Paula made a motion to adjourn, Dusty seconded, motion carried, meeting adjourned.
