Old Business:

System leak detection issues- Brian has attempted to contact the DEQ but has received no reply.  He has applied for an extension, should assume it is granted since there has been no contact to the contrary.  Risers on the hill are still under water, will wait until things dry out more before leak detection attempts will be made.

Covers in the well house- Paula will try to figure out covers for the valves so if there is a leak it will not spray the electrical equipment in the house.

Burns house disconnect- The ray Burns property has disconnected from the sewer system.

New Business

Sue (Burns) Wallace has requested a letter from the board stating that the sewer hook up for lot 35 is now unencumbered and available to the lot owner.  The letter was discussed and is in the process of being edited before sending to Ms. Wallace.  The letter should include and refer to the previous correspondence with her regarding the sewer hookup when it was still being used by the Burns property.  It should also spell out what will be required of any property owner to connect to the sewer system.

Discussion of protocol for the sewer system and safeguards in case of problems with the system   The power went down to the sewer lot pump house  on Easter Sunday, the pumps went down and the alarm bell did not go out due to loss of power.  Power lines were chewed through.    Adam Pummill was mowing and noticed

flashing light, stopped to inspect.  There is an alarm bell, but it is rusty and does not work.  Tanks were filling up, pumps not pumping.  Adam called Northwesterrn Energy and the line was repaired.  He notified the board and was asked to submit a proposal for improvements to the system. The  board discussed the proposal which included both upgrades to equipment and also Adam being contracted for inspection and operational maintenance .  Adam is a sewer operator for small to medium sized systems.  The cost of this service would be $200 per year.  The system upgrades will be discussed in more detail after Barb gets the financial information to compare the monthly expenses of a new system to what we are spending now.  Dusty made a motion to hire Adam to do the inspection and operational maintenance, Cyndie seconded, motion passed.

Census issue- Barb contacted the census bureau  and answered their questions about the water district board.

Sorenson meter is not working.  Cyndie will call them, Adam has agreed to do the replacement.

Motion made to adjourn by Dusty, seconded by Barb, motion carried, meeting adjourned.
