{"id":17043,"date":"2025-03-03T20:07:28","date_gmt":"2025-03-04T03:07:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sunnymeadowswater.com\/?p=17043"},"modified":"2025-03-12T11:03:40","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T18:03:40","slug":"minutes-2025-02-27","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sunnymeadowswater.com\/?p=17043","title":{"rendered":"Minutes 2025-02-27"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"agenda-display\">\n<h2>Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District<\/h2>\n<h2>Meeting Minutes<\/h2>\n<h3>February 27th, 2025 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Roll Call:\u00a0 Dusty Deschamps, Meggan Quigley, Cyndie Winchell, Paula Niccum, Michael Bushey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Approval of Minutes:\u00a0 Dusty made a motion to approve the minutes as posted on the website, Cyndie seconded.\u00a0 The motion carried and minutes approved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Information:\u00a0 Meggan read the financial report from the County for January.\u00a0 A motion was made and seconded to approve the report.\u00a0 Motion carried, report approved.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Public Input:\u00a0 Mike and Barb Harrison came to the meeting to discuss their water leak, system repairs and their own repairs to their water lines.\u00a0 They have replaced the poly pipe lines to their house.\u00a0 Cyndie has been up to check their water use and the repairs multiple times.\u00a0 Chris, the contractor who did the repairs has been to the property with her to check the repairs as well.\u00a0 There was some runoff during wet weather but not determined to be a leak and Chris is planning to come back and back fill after runoff season.\u00a0 The board is working with Barb to address payment for the excess water use during the leak.\u00a0 She agreed to pay an additional $60.00 per month in addition to monthly usage until the balance of the bill is paid, with no interest charged on the balance.\u00a0 Should the property be sold before the balance is paid, the balance will be paid before closure of the property sale.\u00a0 There will be no liens on the property.\u00a0 All of these agreements shall be documented in a letter from the board to Barb.\u00a0 <\/span><strong>Dusty made a motion to approve the agreement, Paula seconded and motion carried.\u00a0 Dusty will write the letter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Old Business:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No new activity on the system upgrade.\u00a0 Still waiting on gaskets for the well field pumps.\u00a0 Still waiting on Solar bid.\u00a0 Received a bid for a new chlorinator.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>SMS issues- Michael is still working on issues with the SMS (text messaging) system for system user notifications.\u00a0 Security requirements for systems are difficult, Michael has found an open source relay app that he says will work with an Android device and his computer.\u00a0 Dusty made a motion to purchase 1 year of unlimited cell service from Mint Mobile to run the app.\u00a0 Cyndie seconded, the motion carried and purchase approved.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">New Business:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Now that the system upgrade enables us to read the meters remotely the board discussed the advantages of changing the billing to monthly for the entire year.\u00a0 We had been reading the meters quarterly during the low water use months of winter.\u00a0 The winter quarterly reading reduced the cost of reading monthly as well as the liability issues if the meter reader were to be injured while reading during snowy and icy conditions.\u00a0 Changing to monthly readings could include earlier leak detection as well as other possible advantages.\u00a0 A motion was made to switch to monthly billing-\u00a0 it was tabled until the next meeting.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The sewer lot tanks will need to be pumped this year.\u00a0 The contractor who does our mowing can also clear the brush from the booster station area on the hill once per summer.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Andy the water system operator will attend the meeting in March.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Adjournment:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Paula made a motion to adjourn, Meggan seconded and motion carried, meeting adjourned.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>District Website: http:\/\/www.sunnymeadowswater.com\/<\/li>\n<li>Respectfully submitted by Paula Niccum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District Meeting Minutes February 27th, 2025 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department Roll Call:\u00a0 Dusty Deschamps, Meggan Quigley, Cyndie Winchell, Paula Niccum, Michael Bushey.
