Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District<\/h2>\n

Meeting Minutes<\/h2>\n

September 26th, 2024 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department<\/h3>\n

Roll Call:\u00a0 Dusty, Cyndie, Michael, Paula<\/span><\/p>\n

Approval of Minutes:\u00a0 Cyndie made a motion to approve the minutes, Michael seconded.\u00a0 Motion carried, minutes approved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Information:\u00a0 Financial report for August read by Cyndie.\u00a0 She has been following up with errors made on our July and August reports.\u00a0 Supposedly everything has been corrected, Cyndie is planning to go downtown in person to verify everything is correct.\u00a0 Dusty made a motion to approve the financial report for August, Michael seconded.\u00a0 Motion carried and financials approved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Public Input:<\/span> None.<\/p>\n

Old Business:<\/span><\/p>\n

System Upgrade Project-\u00a0 The water line improvement should begin the week of September 30th or so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other suggestions for the balance of the grant money we received from ARPA include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leak detection equipment purchase-\u00a0 Cyndie received leak detection equipment information from Core and Main.\u00a0 Ferguson also has a leak detection app that we can research.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The board discussed purchasing a new chlorinator with ARPA funds.\u00a0 We will do more research.<\/strong><\/p>\n

No Parking Zone around the well lot- The process is ongoing and involves both Missoula County and Montana Department of Transportation.\u00a0 We are told it will take time and that they would help us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Budget for 2025-\u00a0 We will address the budget projections at the October meeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

New Business:<\/span><\/p>\n

DEQ Lead Survey-\u00a0 The DEQ is requiring all water systems to submit a spreadsheet documenting the existence of any lead piping.\u00a0 Cyndie had responded to this request in February stating we had no lead pipes in our system.\u00a0 The survey is still required.\u00a0 Amy from Great West will forward the spreadsheet we need to fill out and we will get it done.<\/strong><\/p>\n
