Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District<\/h1>\n

Meeting Minutes<\/h2>\n

January 25th, 2024 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department<\/h3>\n

Roll Call: Dusty Deschamps, Cyndie Winchell, Paula Niccum, Meggan Quigley, Michael Bushey.\u00a0 Tom Walter and Julissa Hensel also in attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n

As per contract, Julissa met with the board to touch base and answer questions.\u00a0 The board asked her to speak with us first and then resumed regular order for the rest of the meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Approval of Minutes:\u00a0 Dusty made a motion to approve the minutes as posted on the website and Michael seconded.\u00a0 The motion carried and minutes were approved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Information: Meggan read the December financial reports received by the county.\u00a0 Dusty made a motion to approve and Paula seconded.\u00a0 The motion carried and financial report was approved.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Public Input:<\/span> None.<\/p>\n

Old Business:\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Project update- Cyndie received multiple calls about the alarm flashing outside the well lot building.\u00a0 She worked with contractors and Andy to resolve the problem.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Project Engineer Amy Deitchler came to inspect the project.\u00a0 She met with Cyndie, Paula and Neely Electric to address questions and concerns, and with Trenchless Solutions to determine a final list of items for completion of their part of the project.\u00a0 \u00a0 Cyndie, Paula and Amy went over budgets and system improvements.\u00a0 Once all tasks are completed, Cyndie will have all of the locks re-keyed and\u00a0signs posted on the fence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mike Lilley is working to update.\u00a0 The update is needed and can be funded by the project ARPA grant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solar panels and a generator are under future consideration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andy Mefford, our water system operator has made some suggestions for improvement and should be coming to a meeting soon so we can discuss in more detail.<\/span><\/p>\n

Water Ordinance Update- work is ongoing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Board Elections:<\/span><\/p>\n

3 of the 5 Board member\/directors have terms that expire this year- Paula, Michael and Meggan.\u00a0 All board members are encouraged to consider serving on the board.\u00a0 We have 5 directors now, we can have up to 8.\u00a0 Board members get compensated $30.00 per meeting attended.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Business:<\/span><\/p>\n

Work continues on the SOW for our bookkeeper position.<\/span><\/p>\n

SMS contact list for\u00a0cell phone numbers- The board needs a cell number for each household in the system to notify households of meetings and to inform all users about issues which may be occuring with the system.\u00a0 Board members will be canvassing the neighborhood in the near future to request these numbers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Resolution 2024-1 ARPA Draw #12- partial payment to Great West Engineering and Trenchless Solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dusty made a motion to pay the resolution, Paula seconded, motion carried and resolution approved.<\/span><\/p>\n
