Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District<\/h1>\n

Meeting Minutes<\/h2>\n

April 28th, 2022 06:00 PM at East Missoula Fire Department<\/h3>\n

Roll Call:\u00a0 Cyndie Winchell, Meggan Quigley, Michael Bushey, Paula Niccum, Dusty Deschamps<\/span><\/p>\n

Approval of Minutes:\u00a0 Motion made by Meggan, motion carried and minutes approved.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Information:\u00a0 Meggan read the financial report\u00a0 county for March.\u00a0 There were a lot of questions about how some income and expense amounts were categorized by the county.\u00a0 Cyndie has been in contact with the county about correcting the errors and will\u00a0 get in touch with them again to correct the report.\u00a0 A motion was made by Dusty and seconded by Meggan to table approval until the next meeting after the report has been corrected.<\/span><\/p>\n

Old Business:<\/span><\/p>\n

Ordinance and by-law review:\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

There was some discussion that water use varies widely from household to household within the system and speculation that many of the meters are old and may be wearing out and not recording accurately.\u00a0 The board will be monitoring water usage for all the homes in the system, particularly those with the lowest usage.\u00a0 If a meter is suspected of not reading accurately the board will replace the meter at the expense of the board, including installation by a licensed plumber.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The manufacturer of the meter readers we use make meters.\u00a0 A representative offered to give the board a presentation about their meters a while back.\u00a0 The board is hoping to schedule their presentation for a future meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bookkeeper contract:<\/span><\/p>\n

The contract for Julissa has been updated.\u00a0 The board discussed the changes and a motion was made to approve the new contract by Dusty.\u00a0 The motion carried and the new contract was approved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project update:<\/span><\/p>\n

Cyndie is working on the Registration of Entity for the grant funding.\u00a0 She has found someone who should be able to help smooth out and complete the process.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

New Business:<\/span><\/p>\n

Election results:\u00a0 The time period for board member elections has closed.\u00a0 No one other than Cyndie and Dusty ran for the board, so they were elected by acclamation.<\/span><\/p>\n

George property fence:\u00a0 The George property’s fence along the road to the old farmhouse was damaged during the last repair that was made to the supply lines for the system.\u00a0 Mr. George declined to have the system repair the fence at that time.\u00a0 The update to they system will require a line to go through the George property.\u00a0 An easement is being secured to do the work.\u00a0 Cyndie will speak to Mr. George about the easement and about the fence repair after the improvement project is complete.<\/span><\/p>\n
