{"id":16492,"date":"2017-01-05T04:32:47","date_gmt":"2017-01-05T11:32:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sunnymeadowswater.com\/?p=16492"},"modified":"2017-01-05T04:32:47","modified_gmt":"2017-01-05T11:32:47","slug":"minutes-2017-1-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sunnymeadowswater.com\/?p=16492","title":{"rendered":"Minutes 2017-1-4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>January 4, 2016 \u00a06:00 pm, East Missoula Community Center<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roll Call: \u00a0<\/strong>Cyndie Winchell, Paula Niccum, Dusty Deschamps, Kari Wafstet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Approval of Minutes: \u00a0<\/strong>Motion to approve the minutes as posted on the website made by Cyndie, seconded by Paula, motion passed, minutes approved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Financials:\u00a0<\/strong>Nothing received from County.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public Input:\u00a0<\/strong>None.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Old Business: \u00a0<\/strong>Third reading of Resolution for Proposed amendment to Article II, adding Section 12:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">12. Payment not honored. In the event that a customer presents a payment to the district which is subsequently determined to not be valid, such as a non-sufficient funds check, fraudulent check, or check on which payment has been stopped, the District must attempt to recoup all costs and expenses associated therewith.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">1. \u00a0 The District will assess a service charge in the greater of the actual cost to the District, or the maximum amount allowed by Montana law (see M.C.A 27-1-717 subsection (2)). In 2016, this maximum is set at $30 per occurrence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">2. \u00a0The amount of the returned payment will be marked as unpaid, and subject to late fees and interest from the original due date.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">3. \u00a0 If full payment of the returned payment and any associated fees is not received within 30 days, the customer&#8217;s account will immediately be considered delinquent, and subject to immediate disconnection.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">4. \u00a0 \u00a0The District may pursue any legal option to collect the outstanding of the balance on the account. These options include:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">o Using M.C.A. 27-1-717 subsection (3) to sue in civil court.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">o Collect the balance of the account on the customer&#8217;s tax bill per M.C.A. 7-13-2301.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">A motion was made by Dusty to pass resolution to amend article 2. \u00a0Resolution to be passed at next meeting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\"><strong>New business:\u00a0<\/strong>none.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">Dusty made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Kari, motion passed, meeting adjourned.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12.16px;\">Minutes written by Paula Niccum.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District January 4, 2016 \u00a06:00 pm, East Missoula Community Center Roll Call: \u00a0Cyndie Winchell, Paula Niccum, Dusty Deschamps, Kari Wafstet.
