Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District<\/h1>\n

Meeting Minutes<\/h2>\n

August 3rd, 2016 06:00 PM at Lutheran Church<\/h3>\n

Roll Call: \u00a0Cyndie Winchell, Dusty Deschamps, Barb Powell, Kari Wafstet, Paula Niccum.<\/span><\/p>\n

Approval of Minutes: \u00a0Minutes amended slightly to edit some typos and wording. \u00a0Dusty made a motion made to approve amended minutes, seconded by Kari, motion carried, minutes approved.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Information: \u00a0No financials information to report, as nothing received from county yet. \u00a0Barb has requested a preliminary report.<\/span><\/p>\n

Public Input:<\/span> None.<\/p>\n

Old Business: \u00a0Regarding dumping on the sewer lot, Dusty spoke with the county attorney’s office. \u00a0If there are repeat offenses and witnesses, we can file a complaint.<\/span><\/p>\n

Budget to date submitted by Barb. \u00a0Adjustment of certain projected categories\u00a0discussed. \u00a0There were two expensive repairs last year, and those categories should probably show a higher projected amount for next year. \u00a0Barb will continue work and board will revisit at next meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Harrison and Greene irrigation meters needed replacement. \u00a0Harrison’s has been replaced. \u00a0The Greenes have been contacted and we will provide a new meter. \u00a0The Hilderman’s in house meter needs to be replaced, they will do the meter replacement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Insurance renewal has been received and was paid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

New Business: \u00a0<\/span>NSF check received from Katherine Darrah. \u00a0There was no response from Katherine. \u00a0Cyndie researched and found her daughters phone number, it was given to our bookkeeper. \u00a0Barb will investigate status of foreclosure so the board can try to contact any buyer to notify them of outstanding water service balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 homes are past due 60-90 days, one home close to 90 day shut-off. \u00a0Letters will be sent to all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two invoices were received in June for mowing the sewer lot, Janet checked to see if it was a duplication of invoice. \u00a0It was not. \u00a0The lot is being mowed four times per summer for the same price as twice per summer by previous mower.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barb, Cyndie and Paula attended Local Government leadership training provided by MSU Extension. \u00a0All agreed good information was presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Resolution 2016-2 was made by Paula to add Dusty to the water board. \u00a0Kari seconded, motion carried. \u00a0No other eligible parties were interested, Dusty appointed by acclamation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rate ordinance will be updated and discussed at our next meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have many new residents. \u00a0We discussed walking around the neighborhood to meet them and also taking a walk around the system for anyone who is interested.<\/span><\/p>\n
