October 1St, 2009<\/p>\n
Board Members Present: Mike Lilley, Cyndie Winchell, Mike Huber, Bill Engelstad &<\/p>\n
Tom Walter—Also attending were Paula Niccum.\u00a0<\/p>\n
1. Roll Call—Cyndie Winchell called the meeting to order at 7: 00 PM. All board<\/p>\n
members were present.<\/p>\n
2. Approval of Minutes<\/p>\n
a. Board member affirmed reading last month\u2019s minutes electronically.\u00a0<\/p>\n
b. Bill moved-Mike Huber seconded. The minutes of September were<\/p>\n
unanimously approved.\u00a0<\/p>\n
3. Financial Report was read by Mike Lilley.<\/p>\n
a. Mike informed us that we finally received the final grant money form<\/p>\n
TCEP, which was $5711.43<\/p>\n
b. Patterson Enterprises is now paid in full.<\/p>\n
c. With major contribution from Mike Lilley in achieving all the grant<\/p>\n
money we have a balance less than $200,000 dollars to pay back. Our<\/p>\n
water district now has a new state of the art well house and pump house.<\/p>\n
Plus, with a little persistence we ended up receiving two brand new pumps<\/p>\n
from EPA, pumping more water than we will ever need. All and all we<\/p>\n
have a million dollar water system.\u00a0<\/p>\n
d. It was brought up that we are operating over budget. We all agree that<\/p>\n
rates are going to have to be raised due to the high cost of operation and<\/p>\n
inflation. Of the three suggested rate increases one is favored, which will<\/p>\n
raise the rates slightly but there will be a significantly more water at our<\/p>\n
disposal. We will have to vote and hopefully the members will show<\/p>\n
some interests. A game plan will be instituted published soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n
e. Mike Huber move-Bill Engelstad second to approved the financials.\u00a0<\/p>\n
4. New Business\u00a0<\/p>\n
a. Mike brought up there is still some warrantee items still be done around<\/p>\n
the well. This is supposed to be concluded within the week. We are<\/p>\n
operating on one pump at this time. The warning light isn\u2019t activating as it<\/p>\n
should either. We have a bid to repair the default for approximately $800.<\/p>\n
The warrantee has expired, and we are very disappointed with the installer<\/p>\n
and will not be using them again..\u00a0<\/p>\n
b. The chlorinating of the water will cease this weekend. The source of the<\/p>\n
contamination still is originating in the same area as last year almost to<\/p>\n
date. This is rather frustrating for the board.\u00a0<\/p>\n
5. Old Businessa. The board was rather disappointed that only 3 people showed up for the Open<\/p>\n
\u00a0House on September 27th, from 1 pm to 4 pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
6. Adjournment :<\/p>\n
a. At 8:30 Mike Lilley moved\u2014Bill Engelstad seconded. The meeting<\/p>\n
unanimously adjourned.<\/p>\n
