A resolution approving amendment of the contract with great west engineering<\/b><\/p>\n
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF directors of the sunny meadows Missoula county water and sewer district:<\/b><\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> the District has an existing contract dated January 18, 2006 with Great West Engineering to provide services related to the initial stages of its current water system upgrade project; and<\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> the District complied with state funding agency guidelines in procuring engineering services from Great West Engineering; and<\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> the District owns and operates a water system within the Clark Fork River Basin near East Missoula, MT; and<\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> the EPA has expressed concern about possible impacts to our water system of ongoing activities to remove the Milltown dam; and<\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> time is of the essence in replacing the well, so as to minimize the potential for increased health and safety risks; and<\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> the EPA has offered to pay or reimburse all costs associated with replacing one of our wells with a new, deeper well; and<\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> in order to accomplish the well replacement in a timely fashion, it would be most efficient to utilize the District’s ongoing relationship with Great West Engineering; and<\/p>\n
WHEREAS,<\/b> in order to accomplish the well replacement, it will be necessary to enter into an agreement with both the EPA and Great West Engineering.<\/p>\n
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,<\/b> that the District approve the contract amendment (Amendment No. 3) to the existing contract with Great West Engineering.<\/p>\n
