Position Name: Meter Reader<\/p>\n

Description: This document describes the duties of the District’s meter reader<\/p>\n

Revision Date: October 12, 2007<\/p>\n

Next Required Review: October 2010<\/p>\n

Duties:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n

    Physical read and record the meters for all connections to the water system, including each residence, the second meters at the specified residences, and the master meters at the pump house.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Meter readings are to be taken at the end of the following months: January, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Work with the board to establish a schedule by which the meter reading dates will be predictable. For example, we currently read on the final Friday of each of the specified months.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Verify any questionable readings, if detected or requested by any board member, or the water operator.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Report any non-functional meters to a board member within 24 hours of detection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    Enter the readings from the above data into a spreadsheet (provided by the District).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    Maintain backup copies of the above data for not less than 3 years.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  8. \n

    Provide the spreadsheet containing the meter reading data to the billing clerk within 24 hours of meter reading.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
