Roll Call<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a. President, Mike Lilley, called the meeting to order at 7:04P.M.<\/p>\n<p>2. Approval of Minutes<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a. Mike H. moved, Tom Walter seconded*** and the minutes from April 5, 2007 were<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">unanimously approved.<\/p>\n<p>3. Public Input: None<\/p>\n<p>4. Special Business: \u00a0Bond Election \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a. In Helena, at the state legislature, House Bill 6 &amp; HB 512 both passed today!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">i. If the board chooses to hold a bond election, and members of Sunny Meadows<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">Water &amp; Sewer District approves the bond, the money is made available on a first<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">come\u00adfirst served basis beginning July 1st, 2007. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">ii. Ballots will be mailed June 5th.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">iii. Ballots will be due June 6th\u00ad25th at the county courthouse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">iv. Notice will be given in the Missoulian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">b. Discussion<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">i. A combination of grants\/ bond money, loans, and district funds will be used for the<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">$739,500 project ONLY if the bond passes. \u00a0The state will pay 2\/3 and loans at<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">below\u00admarket\u00advalue interest will cover 1\/3 of the cost.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">ii. There are solutions for lost or damaged ballots.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">iii. Our current water rates will NOT change. \u00a0They were calculated originally to<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">include this upgrade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">iv. Wayne inquired about the timeline. \u00a0If all goes as planned, digging will start the<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">summer of 2008 and the work will be completed by the end of the summer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">v. Wayne also wondered about what he will see. \u00a0Work will be at the well site and the\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">current storage tank area. \u00a0A steel tank 28\u2019 high and 25\u2019 in diameter will improve<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">water pressure. \u00a0Streets will not likely be involved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\"><strong>A resolution to hold a bond election passed unanimously***.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5. Updates:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a. Health Advisory \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">i. The second water tests were clean. \u00a0There are five locations tested each time and<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">one where the bacteria issues originated will continuously be tested in the next few<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">months to ensure safety. \u00a0Two tests per month rather than one will monitor the<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">situation. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">ii. One family was concerned with a child\u2019s sickness after the chlorine shock. \u00a0A lower<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">concentration will be used. \u00a0Mike H. &amp; Tom will talk to this family.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">iii. Kevin asked if we chlorinate regularly. \u00a0No\u00adcosts would go up if we chlorinated<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">daily since additional testing would be required and the taste would deteriorate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">b. Water request for 5 houses closer to Brickyard Hill.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">i. Vivian asked what happened with the request and the answer was nothing. \u00a0The<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">person has not been heard from.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">c. Meter Purchase \/ Reimbursement : Cyndie prompted a conversation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">i. All old meters on the system are proposed for upgrade (by a plumber) in the<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">funding proposal. \u00a0For those who recently purchased a new meter, the district plans<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">to reimburse $115 on each water bill\u2026IF the funds are approved. \u00a0The district<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">would own and maintain all the meters. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>6.
