4. Public Input:<\/p>\n
a. Tom asked for clarification, and yes, the sewer rate brings in about $400 quarterly.<\/p>\n
b. Bob sought information about the recent water system chlorine treatment. \u00a0Bob failed to see<\/p>\n
the letter the board mailed, so a copy was provided for him. \u00a0Mike explained that the DEQ<\/p>\n
required chlorination that was turned off last weekend. \u00a0It will be tested again Monday, April<\/p>\n
9th. \u00a0Problems like this often occur with a spring thaw. \u00a0It is hoped the test Monday will<\/p>\n
clear up the issue. \u00a0If there is concern, homeowners will hear from the board immediately. \u00a0<\/p>\n
c. Tom shared about a book he is reading. \u00a0There was discussion about fencing the water tank<\/p>\n
area, or at least repairing the door and current lock.<\/p>\n
5. Old Business : \u00a0<\/p>\n
a. Funding Update: \u00a0All legislative members promise something will be passed in the next<\/p>\n
month. \u00a0Mike Lilley arranged SRF (state revolving fund) consideration as a hardship case\u2026<\/p>\n

IT WILL NEVER BE CHEAPER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WATER PROJECT THAN<\/p>\n
NOW!<\/p>\n
House Bill 6 is moving through committee, also HB 17. \u00a0As soon as funding passes in Helena,<\/p>\n
we MUST pass a bond election ASAP. \u00a0RATES WILL REMAIN THE SAME. \u00a0A special<\/p>\n
meeting is planned April 19th<\/p>\n
when results from Helena should be known.\u00a0<\/p>\n
b. Grant Administrator: \u00a0Bill moved and Mike H. seconded ***and the board unanimously<\/p>\n
decided to solicit bids from 3-\u00ad5 candidates, subject to TSEP (TreasureState Endowment<\/p>\n
Program) approval of the sample bid format.<\/p>\n
c. Meter Purchase \/ Reimbursement: \u00a0All old meters on the system are proposed for upgrade in<\/p>\n
the funding proposal. \u00a0This work is planned for a plumber. \u00a0For those who recently purchased<\/p>\n
a new meter, the district plans to reimburse $115 on each water bill\u2026IF the funds are<\/p>\n
approved. \u00a0The district would then own all meters. \u00a0This is a change from now and<\/p>\n
historically having people own their own meters. \u00a0Mike L. brought a sample letter that will<\/p>\n
be mailed if funding is approved.<\/p>\n

a. Bond Election A Special (BRIEF) Board meeting is planned April 19th to arrange this if the<\/p>\n
state funding is approved in Helena<\/p>\n
b. Health Advisory \u00a0Discussed earlier, the system was chlorinated in March due to a bad water<\/p>\n
test.<\/p>\n
i. Re\u00adtest is Monday<\/p>\n
ii. There was discussion about potentially installing back\u00adflow protection someday.<\/p>\n
