The meeting came to order at 7 PM.<\/p>\n
Bill Engelstad moved, and Cyndie Winchell seconded, that we approve minutes from the last meeting.<\/p>\n
All voted in favor, and the minutes were approved.<\/p>\n
Financial information was presented by Cyndie Winchell.<\/p>\n
Public Input<\/span> \u2013 Cyndie questioned who and if someone purchased hookup rights from anyone. \u00a0Mike<\/p>\n Lilley said no. \u00a0As indicated in previous meeting, there are no hookup rights available. Anyone wanting<\/p>\n to purchase any rights would have to purchase them from someone in the subdivision currently owning<\/p>\n them.<\/p>\n Old Business<\/span><\/p>\n Mike Lilley questioned everyone on the board if we should take the money currently in the bank under<\/p>\n the Sunny Meadows Name and place it with the County to manage. \u00a0It was agreed to move it to the<\/p>\n county and leave approximately $300.00 in the Three Rivers Bank under the HOA. \u00a0See Resolution<\/p>\n 2007\u00ad-01.<\/p>\n New Business<\/span><\/p>\n We discussed the legal ramification of not continuing the HOA. \u00a0It was recommended that the HOA\u00a0continue in existence, as that is the only way to maintain covenants in the HOA.<\/p>\n Brian, our water operator, has requested a raise of $8.00 per hour for services over and above the normal\u00a0duties in his contract. \u00a0The board discussed the impact of this on the budget, which is expected to be\u00a0minimal, and agreed that he was doing a fine job and deserved the raise.<\/p>\n The board has formed a contract committee to investigate getting both Brian and Josie under contract to\u00a0the District instead of the HOA. \u00a0See Resolution 2007\u00ad-02.<\/p>\n The board authorized the contract committee to begin proceedings to search for a grant administrator per\u00a0state funding agency guidelines. \u00a0See Resolution 2007-\u00ad03.<\/p>\n The board discussed initial steps towards holding the bond election we will be required to hold. \u00a0It was\u00a0agreed that we needed more information from our Bond Counsel, as well as the county election officials,\u00a0before any steps could be taken in this area.<\/p>\n We discussed the meter purchase\/reimbursement program. \u00a0It was explained that our upgrade project will\u00a0require that all homes in the district use the new meters (like the ones most of the district has recently\u00a0upgraded to). \u00a0There are 20 homes which still have old meters. \u00a0As part of the project, those meters will\u00a0need to be replaced, at the District’s expense. \u00a0If we fail to replace all 20 remaining meters as part of the\u00a0project, our project will not be eligible for $100,000 of grant funding we applied for. \u00a0In order to be fair\u00a0to the other homeowners, we are planning to offer to purchase the meters from the other 53 connections,with the intent of the District owning all of the meters. \u00a0This would result in the District being responsible\u00a0for repair\/replacement of any meter it owned, if there were meter problems. \u00a0It was agreed that Mike\u00a0Lilley would write a draft of a meter purchase\/replacement program guidelines, and letter to the\u00a0homeowners, for the next meeting. \u00a0The board will review those items at that time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Sunny Meadows Missoula County Water and Sewer District February Meeting February 1st, 2007 Bonner School 7:00 PM The meeting came to order at 7 PM.
